Prospectors & Miners LA

Prospectors and Miners LA is a 501(c)(3) IRS Tax Exempt organization whose mission it is to introduce new and experienced individuals that wish to learn about Gold Prospecting and Gold Mining; to become actual prospectors and miners. We hold special events where our members and other organizations act together and volunteer their time to pick-up and clean public lands that have been trashed and abused, then left in a condition that is dangerous to not only people but to wild life including various protected species.

We remove and discard of the trash using proper disposal containers. We also backfill dangerous excavations that have been left open that can cause injury or death to some unlucky individuals that are out trying to enjoy our public lands. We want the public lands to be Open, Clean and Safe for the general public.

We hold monthly meetings to discuss our members interest, to inform and raise funds for all the causes and issues related to land use and individual rights.

Prospectors and Miners LA is 6 years in its existence, however, the principles and many of the current members are long standing in the mining community. Other organization in the past have done what we are attempting to do now. Some of our principles and some of our members use to be part of these other organizations that are passing the Torch to Prospectors and Miners LA.

The task at hand are difficult and require a lot of planning and coordination to be successful and to make a difference. Unfortunately, it takes some money too.

We are looking to work with individuals, families, groups or other organizations that want to learn their rights granted to US Citizens under the 1872 Mining Law to stop or prevent being harassed, intimidated or mislead by people in authority. With the knowledge we teach you, you will know when anyone is attempting to enforce their own ideas or opinions rather than the real laws, rules or regulations.

We have been organized for approximately 18 months but because of all the federal and state rules, regulation and licensing we are still considered in our start-up phase of the business. Like many 501(c)(3) organizations, we are extremely is dependent on the contributions of local communities, businesses and it’s members to volunteer their time. Your contribution of time, money or other necessities is welcome and greatly appreciated not to mention the good it does for individuals and communities.

Prospectors and Miners LA expenses include the hard cost of each event plus we are looking to the future when we can move into an office space and hire office personnel so we have a full time physical presence in our communities.
